      Located at an average altitude of 1,500 meters above sea level, Da Lat - Lam Dong is a rare land in Southeast Asia. The average temperature is 18-25oC, the weather is cool and temperate all year round. For a long time, Da Lat has been famous as a major tourist center of Vietnam, and an ideal resort.

      The biodiversity of the forest ecosystem plays an important role in the tourist landscape, especially the pine forest of Da Lat. Along with rivers, streams, lakes, dams, waterfalls... Lam Dong forest has created a complex that attracts domestic and foreign tourists.

      Lam Dong also has two national forests, Cat Tien and Bidoup - Nui Ba, which still preserve and protect many rare species of flora and fauna recorded in the Vietnam Red Book. Especially Bidoup - Nui Ba national forest is more than 50 km from Da Lat city center, with an area of about 64,366 hectares. Bidoup - Nui Ba forest has preserved subtropical alpine climate forest ecosystems and endemic and rare flora and fauna species. One of 221 endemic bird conservation areas in the world and one of three endemic bird conservation areas in Vietnam, preserving forest habitats, indigenous culture, scientific research, and ecotourism.

      Lam Dong has very favorable climatic conditions for growing vegetables and flowers all year round. Lam Dong's vegetables are concentrated in the areas of Da Lat, Duc Trong, Lac Duong, Don Duong and Lam Ha. The estimated area for growing vegetables of all kinds in 2011 was 44,159 hectares with a total output of 1,398,558 tons. Producing high quality vegetables using safe vegetable production methods has gradually become a popular farming method. However, seed issues, modern production technology, post-harvest technology and vegetable processing are still areas that need investors. Da Lat vegetable brand has been recognized, currently continuing to build GAP standards for Da Lat vegetable brand to meet the export market.

      The main flower production areas are Da Lat, Don Duong and Duc Trong.
